I will post why soon but before that I want to say other things about turkey and somalia(I was waiting to make it a thread on its own but bc of these continental developments I will put them together in a short way.

The first part about turkey and somalia

Notice: this is not againist turkey at all as this place is full of a narrow horizoned people who can't distinguish the things.

Turkey is a great muslim state or atleast its current decision makers, contributes a lot to the somali govt and somalia generally though they have too their own economical and cultural agendas

What I fear is that they may make somalia a debtor nation therefore, as a creditors have a monopoly on the somali govts decisions. a good example would be to know what would be the somali govts position from their corporations like the GENEL energy, will they have an exception status?

the govts energy advisers have said things like that will be part of a political settlements that will be reached by next year

Unless turkey is planning too so!

In this era, all the somali politicians make their decisions in the same economically motivated manner

The turkish influence have reached on the somali women who started wearing their hijabi style

Many somalis now speak turkish

If you look at the other nations where the turkish oil corporations are operating like kurdistan you would see there is no influence whatsoever.

The last part about turkey and IGAD

As I revealed before, because of a regional concerns from the somali govts side, the security cooperation between turkey and somalia may have been halted after the somali side has asked them to involve it with the amisom/igad countries so it can be seen by the IGAD countries as a wider security cooperation!!

This has made angery the turkish govt but I'm assuming now that they find another way wich is intead of sitting the same table with these shyt countries, to offer for them the same security facilities.

This is what I wrote before in 31 march

Turkey didn't like it and may got angery about it not because of suggesting this but because of been agreed on this before by the both sides and without a notice the somali govt has changed the things behind them!

Atleast if they made this known to turkey and released to her their fears she may had sorted it out with the west

Any fool could have told you that Turkey would eventually want a return on it's investments.
This regime is totally dependent on handouts.....they have become addicted to Turkeys monthly suitcases of millions of dollars.

Turkey alone could provide all the training and all equipment necessary from its old stockpiles to turn the SNA into a well oiled machine that is more capable than AMISOM and given time just as capable as the armies of the AMISOM home countries.

Its been years already whats taking so long?..


We know that corruption prevents the effectiveness of the army, and the army is made up of clan millitias with little cohesion or motivation and they dont get payed.

Why dont they focus on solving the problem from the other end?

Training Officers and non commisioned officers.
NCO's are more important than commisioned officers in a developing country , especially when you want to build and army from scratch.
It will also take less time you will need at least 6 months to develop a rudimentary NCO cadre.
You already have thousands of high school graduates who are unemployed and perfect raw material for NCO's.
Since they already have completed secondary education you can go straight into intensive training.

You will need a high teacher to student ratio, and if you start with 2000 high school graduates and 100 experienced instructors you can cycle through all the necessary training in 18 months.
from the 2000 you will select the most capable and train them further for command and staff another 6 months of training is a minimum.

When this is done voila you have a large army upto 40,000 troops of decent quality overnight because you can then train 40,000 illiterate clan fighters into an army in 3 months if you have those 2000 NCO's.

By spending your money on the 2000 NCO's you will save on spending on salaries and equipment for the rest of the army and through rapid growth you will create entire units very very quickly.

Right now you have a large useless army with nect to zero training sprinkled with some tiny numbers of well trained units.
all they do is parade and do little live fire drills. its just a large and difficult to control militia of little military use.


The turks can do that they have experience in these matters and have a long history of turning illiterate mountain farmers into world class soldiers.

Big political mistake that was suggested by farah abdulqadir. He come up with such suggestion that has no bases says that( maybe bc of being called to addis after the egyptian generals visit to mogadishu where suddenly they offered to him some help about kismayo-anyways he thought like the same thing will happen again with IGAD if a direct security cooperation with turkey takes place and what's worse was instead of contacting with turkey who may sorted it out from above they contacted with the regional countries and suggested to them "a joint cooperation"

He feared that they may put some difficults infront of their local efforts but turkey works with the US and the united nation they shouldn't give a fock about it.

The govt can change the things but these regional countries show the world officially some thing different but secretly make big damages so...

You right but the regional countries want to keep the somali security policy, according to the officials, they can make big damage if they are not atleast part of it. You know they have local somali cards.

So sahal is it possible For Somalia to just cancel the agreement they had with Igad, if yes then they should do it!

No. First you need to have three countries who should sort it out from above: turkey, saudi arabia and UAE .

But the last two and mostly the UAE are asking first the govt to move from the qatari camp to their arabic camp

Thus, the govt is balancing all the sides also waits the egyptian elections then it may sacrifice qatar.

Just don't worry about this, its a matter of time.

The somalia ambassador to the united nation dr cilmi ducaale and the fiji island ambassador have formed a diplomatic relations between the two countries(never knew that the diplomatic relations can be exchanged this way without ambassadors or is this island part of some big country can't remember it)

Damn qatar's foriegn policy is quite independent ? how did a country so small with a citizen population smaller than my subclan get so powerfull??

The problem is that the idiots in the FG are clueless and don't know what to do. They have no foreign policy expertise or direction. Fortunately, I was wise enough to stay out of the fray even though I was being aggressively courted to join.

If I was the Minister of Foreign Affairs, I would have engaged Turkey, Brazil, China, and any other nation outside the Horn in redeveloping the national security forces.
