Unadulterated qabilism: parliament impedes A. Airport

Postby hydrogen » Sat May 17, 2014 8:55 pm

Legislators from the Somali Parliament convened today for their ordinary session in Mogadishu and held a confidence vote for Favori LLC, the Turkish-owned company that manages Aden Adde International Airport.

120 parliamentarians voted for Favori LLC to be discharged from their duties and 2 casted for the company to retain management of the airport while 13 lawmakers sustained in the vote. Despite the fact that many other legislators were absent from today’s sitting, parliamentarians count the vote as valid.

The Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Sheikh Osman (Jawari) chaired the session today and declared that the agreement signed between the Federal Government of Somalia and Favori LLC in September 2013 will be terminated and the employees are expected to vacate the airport premises when a date has been set for exit.

Mr. Jawari announced the final decision after Members of Parliament have brought up the motion for the last couple of days to cease the deal with Favori LLC.

I see no qabilism cuz the ones behind the termination of Favori are the same reer muqdisho believe me. This is a game between muqdisho elites, businessmen and the parliament.

Favori is ten times better than SKA, actually SKA was a scum, they had different contracts, while SKA was to manage the airport, FAVORI was to build, operate and transfer, they have already started building a modern terminal which they are supposed to finish at end of this yr or early of next yr.

I have no idea where the BnW knows this but the first month of FAVORI administration of the airport the income which the government was getting from the airport almost doubled, HOL reported.

Wat is more FAVORI DOESNT USE SKA EQUIPMENT, THEY BROUGHT THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT, actually SKA even took power cables of the airport.

HOL reported it kulaha.

We fly from this airport frequently, and its a dump. Worse than before.
Doubled income kulaha. Passengers don't care about that. The Somali lady they put in charge did it for me. :lol their amateurishness is astounding.

They are using some of SKA's equipment, I guess they purchased from them and the funny thing is, they didn't even bother taking down the SKA name. It looks like SKA is still operating the airport even though they are not.

I agree with the airport service is very poor due to many local flights which are using the same terminal. On April 9 2013 I departed from that airport and it took me four hrs to reach the immigration and SKA was managing it, it was very bad, after that I passed four times while FAVORI was managing it and it was way much better.

When m saying the income has doubled is to show that SKA was stealing from us. Read this http://raasonews24.net/?p=10959

FAVORI will invest million of dollars to make this airport at acceptable standard, of course due laaluush/bribe we can refuse it and we stay the we are because and you and me know that Somali government will not build that airport.

The parliament is planning to make null the Turkish development presence in Mogadishu. They have brought it forward, geting rid of favori is one part of it. They don't care about SKA or anything else but impeding Mogadishu out of sheer jelousy.
