You could go so far as saying that Sanaag is the traditional home region of Isaaq and that Hargeisa, Berbera and Burca was conquered several hundred years later. Sool is a shared region and the only real fighting goes on between the nomads over wells. Each time that happens, the SL government steps in as a mediator and does not arm tribes and fan the flame of war like Hassan Qoslaaye.

No one steals the land of Dhulbahante. Have Isaaq civilians taken over Laas Caanod for instance? The answer is no.

Somaliland is securing her borders, what's happening in Shabeellaha Hoose is not securing the borders of Somalia. It's theft.
