Arab Names VS. African Names

Postby Amirsade » Sun Jun 15, 2014 6:23 pm

99.9 percent of you have Arab names, your fathers and brothers have Arab names, some of us can go back generations. Just like the African American adopted the English names. So guys it's okay, in the world we live today, someone has to be the leader and the rest go under the chain of command.

The Original somali names, most of them knick names, Ducaale, Ugaaso, bishaaro, Raage is becoming rare and close to extinction.

Is highly unlikely you will ever see, somali naming their Sons, Uhuru, Moi, tsefari or even john.

We Somalis do business with African, we are the African messengers for number of countries.

We are part of the Arab world, our second language is Arabic, we share religions and nomadic life style, we share poems and camels

Majority of Somalis are the dark Arabs. So what?

The Somalis have a hitorical relationship with the arabs even if their not arabs themselves. We also feel a sense of affinity with them because of our shared faith (islam) and yes we have some arab blood however little running in out veins, considering the proximity of the Arabian peninsula to Somalia this is not inconceivable. We have our differences and grivences with the arabs, but at the end of the day, we are all Muslims and part of the ummah of prophet mohamed (pbuh)

You are 100x closer to Eastern Oromos. You border them. You share a similar culture. You share similar foods. You share many words and phrases. You look like them. You fight with them. You ally with them. You intermarry. Both have added each other to their clans.

How come Somalis never acknowledge their close relationship with the Eastern Oromos?

Eastern Oromos themselves are Dir Somalis who are bilingual (barsuug, jaarso, akisho, gurgura, etc)hence all the similarities in language culture, naming etc ( Ayaanle, Rooble Libaan etc.)

You don't see "Somalis" acknowledgment this because all the somalis on somalinet and that you know of
are from xamar, koonfur, and puntland, what do they know of Galbeed, Eastern Ethiopia and oromos?? They don't even know if they are somali or arab, how can they know of people they don't border? they can't even visit their own homelands lmfao they know Nohting of oromos lol that's why you don't hear jack.

i doubt you'd think other oromo types ( the proper gadhu and qoti short mother fuckers lol)
are "somalid" its just a confederation.
