A minor town in bosnia blows every shithole you've posted out of the water. Have same shame and stop bragging about shanty-towns.

Caadi skaadig, Bosnia was part of the Ottoman empire for hundreds of years while Somalis live in a inhospitable land away from any empires/civilisations.
Not even South Africa or Egypt has cities as aesthetic as this. inferiority complexes....

As usual come up with shitty excuses. The ottoman empire has nothing to do with anything, empires don't build you cities they collect taxes and levy troops. Bosnians built that. And what makes it worse is it's not even that impressive, cities in Switzerland and Italy will make that look like a village. But typical beggar mentality wouldn't understand that. Ad hominems won't change that.

Liquid these people have access to rich agricultural land, access to European markets, a long history of urban life. You shouldn't compare such a country to Somali cities.
We will reach such a level of development hopefully in the next 50 years

try to search beledweyne in google maps, its way better looking than the above bosnian city. we dont create rivers and green mountains, that town locates good place same like beledweyne, but its not even close to borama.

As usual your living in your ivory towers, but it happens your not a intellectual. Ever heard of a silk road ? This is a series of trade and cultural transmission routes that are central to cultural interaction and development.
Bosnia is in the centre (next to Italy, Germany, Turkey and even north Africa) of Europe at the gateways and close to countless empires.
This means this population (Christians & Reverted Muslims from ottomans) has learned, met and experienced new ideas, Somalia is a backwater.
Somalia is inhospitable place, your comparing Somalia to Italy ? Put the Khat down sxb, i know the ban is soon but calm down.
Eurasian civilization is not so much a product of ingenuity, but of opportunity and necessity. That is, civilization is not created out of superior intelligence, but is the result of a chain of developments, each made possible by certain preconditions. IF you need me to explain this ask, but a clever person would understand this.
If your longing for Baroque architecture start your own town, or study how Lebanon came out their civil war and created carbon copies of architecture like that town.

1. Xamar: Beautiful beaches, pristine location, historical relevance, largest market in East Africa (Bakaara). Surpasses all cities.
2. Kismayo: great weather, strategic location, deep sea port and great economic potential.
3. Beledweyne: Excellent location, should be a military garrison for Somali troops, beautiful scenery and cosmopolitan locals.

Somalia has more arable land than tiny bosnia and two major rivers. The European market argument is moot; (1) what has that got to do with anything? (2) we live in a globalised world bosnia is no closer to europe than somalia is. lol 50 years? Easy now, don't be overly ambitious.

:snoop: you know what I give up walaahi. I have never seen a people with such low self-esteem and no ambition.

Yussuf, I've seen beledweyne. The location is beautiful, the town isn't.

Lol this fool lecturing me on history. I've forgotten more about history than you'll ever know, you condescending twat. Somalia is on one of the most important trade routes in history, the Red-Sea/Indian Ocean shipping highway. :mindblown: Who mentioned superior intellect? Also, this is 2014. Somalia may have been inhospitable 100s of years ago, but with modern technology and good governance it would be a bread-basket. It has every resource needed to develop a country; iron ore, limestone for concrete, gypsum for plaster, Uranium for nuclear power, tin, copper, abundant sun-energy and wind, underground aquifiers etc. Don't make pointless excuses with your wikipedia-sourced "explanation".

beledweyne locates very good looking place, haadraawi said it all "beledweyn weyn allahayaw ka dhig beerta raaxada" beauty is in the eye of the beholder, even that bosnian city you shared does not look good to me, its the nature that looks good not the city! .hantidu waa lama huraan i have borama bosnia is not mine

the Red-Sea/Indian Ocean shipping highway ? Is Somalia industrialised, how do we benefit, no how have we benefited ?
Stop backtracking now, at least i've educated you as to why Somalia can not be compared to places like Italy or even Bosnia due to geographical and cultural denominators with a 'millennia' of developments.
Iron ore, limestone, tin etc etc, you just don't get it do you sxb ? 65% of Somali lands is nomadic people the other 20% are hardly educated or of below working age etc, there will not be a industrial revolution for a long time. 80% of wealth is from Diaspora.
Somali lands is a racketeering operation fuelled with clanism. The west/Arabs have also encouraged this scenario. Baroque architecture, dams and plants won't be showcasing in the horn for decades.
