Puntland Iyo Jubbaland And Now South West Administration....
Huge Progress Being Made, As Federalism Takes Deep Roots In The Somali Republic.
Bay, Bakool and Lower Shabelle Welcome To Independence, Welcome To Self Governance And Welcome To A Brighter Future.
Mogadishu, 23 June 2014 – The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Somalia (SRSG), Nicholas Kay, welcomed the agreement today to establish a new interim regional administration in south west Somalia.
Under the leadership of the Federal Government, supporters of two different state formation processes met in Mogadishu and agreed to establish a new Interim South West Administration, including the regions of Bay, Bakool and Lower Shabelle.
“I welcome the agreement to establish a new Interim South West Administration in accordance with Somalia’s Provisional Constitution. I congratulate all parties for their commitment to finding a solution through peaceful dialogue and patient negotiation. I urge all parties to continue to work closely with the Federal Government and ensure an inclusive administration is established swiftly. The Federal Government will also need to continue to consult community elders and local stakeholders to ensure that residual issues are addressed in an inclusive and conciliatory manner.
“Today’s agreement is a significant step forward in Somalia’s progress towards federalism. I congratulate all parties on the agreement and look forward to working with the new administration within the context of the New Deal Somalia Compact. It will also clear the way for improved security and a more effective campaign against Al Shabaab.
As an observer of today’s agreement, the United Nations is committed to supporting the Federal Government’s peace-building and state-building efforts.” Mr Kay said.

Federalism will not become fruitful in Somalia. Somalis have limited knowledge about the federal system, they already associated federalism with tribalism. More tribal wars will erupt and Somalia's political development will go down the hill and last but not least Somalia will remain a shithole for the remaining years.
I really hope the current government or the government's that will come into power in the future will sort out the mess of our political system. I hope they will:
1. Abolish 4.5 system
2. Abolish federal system
3. Enforce decentralised system

The soldiers began to pull out of the bases on Tuesday as local residents cheered and celebrated the withdrawal.
Ethiopia had announced plans to withdraw its estimated 3,000 troops from Somalia last November.
Hussein Awale, a Mogadishu resident, told Reuters: "We were chanting praise be to Allah, who made the troops leave our area."

Yh catch up with the world by being balkanised and ruled by the neighbouring countries and foreign nations whilst tribal fights commence over land and so-called 'federal states'. No thanks I don't share your idiotic vision.

More like they didn't want a federalized Somalia in the first place. A federalized Somalia is just a way for the west to keep Somalia weak and still divided and u emotional Somalis don't even know it.
Quiet Sad actually, u guys wanna catch with the world? work with your enemies but dont get them too close
lol is it that difficult to think of?
