Looks like Baldy did some extra work on to finalise the Galgaduud & Mudug federation.

Ximan & Xeeb have finally accepted this deal. Looks like Puntland are the only entity that are against this federation.














Those federal system groupies what is your intake? I know that Puntlanders are the hard-core federal system supporters. After this outcome are you guys still a hardcore federal system supporter?

Please don't bring confusion into the thread. The federation doesn't mention specific areas of Mudug. It just states Mudug and Galgaduud not Southern Mudug.

It is un-constitutional to nominate a federal state under 1.5 regions. The minimum requirement is 2 regions. Puntland either accept this federal system or they will face harsh criticism. You just can't eat the whole pie for yourself.

There is no begging. Marehan and Habar Gidir can't take over the small strip of Mudug you guys reside in within a hour. If it wasn't for Marehan and their good relationship with Habar Gidir, the Habar Gidir boys would had reached Bosaso let alone the small parts of Mudug you guys reside in. It is because of Marehan you guys are sparred. But afcourse violence isn't the way forward. So Puntland has to accept the federal system or they will be penalised in the national arena more & more.

It was the Puntlanders whining and advocating for federalism, so its best you guys follow the rules properly.

The only time I will welcome federalism is when federal regions are not created out of qabil and Somalis stop associating federalism with clan regional boundaries. Why should the small northern part of Mudug be excluded just because it is settled by your clan?

lol you mistaken me for someone else. i don't believe in somalia as a nation let alone federalism and that's how i have been for many yrs. The faster we part ways the better as far as am concerned. Worst case scenario, PL will remain an autonomous state. Move along and concentrate on your lands

It's all about rattling Puntland in order for them to accept an amending of the constitution since it would be in their best interest now. The only reason they were adamant that the constitution not be altered was because they might have flirted with the idea of incorporating Southern Mudug but that clearly won't happen now. They were always the only obstacle to adopting a new amendment regarding the assemblage of a federal state.

Any system can be solution as long as Somalis agree to it. Unity on a political system and governance is what matter most. It don't matter if you hate clan X or clan Y. Aslong as you both unite under a political system and government that is what matters. Or else all clans will lose out on the potential of the country and we will forever remain a shit hole.

You are making out that Puntland wrote the constitution. It weren't Puntland that suggested the two region requirement. This whole process has nothing to do with rattling Puntland. If the government wants to alter the constitution they can do so. You are making out that Puntland owns the constitution.

This whole federal formation is a sincere process for the vision 2016. Since Somalia adopted the federal system it is time for the government to finalise it. The only time people can reject federalism is during the public vote for their constitution.
