I think it's good that they are finally acting like a government and disarming these bandits, if you are apart of the government then you should be protected by government forces, if not then you should perhaps have access to small arms, such as a rifle or two for self-defense. Why are they going after him then? and who ordered these attacks? I think people that fight alshabab to such extent should be kept within the ranks of the government forces, and their Commanders should be trained, the militia paid, but they should be a part of the larger national army, they should take orders from the army Commanders if need be.

The international community don't want to help you create a well trained, professional army and police force, I mean the AMISOM been there for how long now? 4-5 years, they could have trained and armed a competent army by now, yet we still have the same rag tag make shift army\police force. I have lost hope in Mogadishu ever being secured and controlled by the government.
