the rise and fall of the muslim brotherhood in the north!

Postby sahal80 » Sat Aug 23, 2014 1:06 pm

First ikhwan movement in somalia was established in 1967 by sheikh mohamed mocalim

The second ikhwan movement was al wuxda from north by early 70s and maybe as this link shows goes back to the late 60s but was ideologically different then ikhwan al ahli/ala sheikh stright from egypt until the 70s

Third ikhwan group was al islah founded 1979 in saudi arabia, this one was an extension of al ahli but got the international recognition

Lastest ikhwan version is dam jadid

According to sheikh mohamed moalim he was afraid of being faired from his uni al azhar if he joined the muslim brotherhood though he use to read their magazines and attend sayid qutb lectures so when he was back to somalia he established the organization with out coordination with the international ikhwan

It looks like there's no more wuxda in these days
