Somali PM heads to London for upcoming conference on Somalia
A delegation led by Somali Prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed on Monday left Somali capital Mogadishu to attend an upcoming conference to discuss ways to enhance the capacity of Somalia’s armed forces which is expected to kick off tomorrow in London.
The prime minister who briefed the media in Mogadishu before his departure expressed the importance of the conference for the capacity of Somalia’s armed forces saying he expects significant outcome from the meeting.
International donors will attend the meeting and the prime minister is expected to meet with delegates from international community and the Somali diaspora community in London.
The prime ministers returned from a recent visit to Baidoa town where he attended the opening ceremony of a reconciliation conference for south western communities which currently underway in the city.
He is accompanied by senior government officials including ministers of defense and information.

Its really nice to see Xassan Sh not representing Somalia all the time on the National Stage like Xassan Sh was doing When Saacid was in. Great sign seeing the PM taking on this role, as Guys who lived abroad in the West, worked internationally will advocate better for Somalia's behalf than Xassan Sh.

The project of bringing back the SNA should be with the PM office, its vital matter.

Al professor al-khiyali, I think you are wrong here big time. Why would Abdiwali initiate conflict with Damul Jadiid group when they didn't dare to cross him like they did to Shirdoon? DJ humiliated and really sidelined Shirdoon for a while and pretty much made him irrelevant. When Shirdoon finally woke up from his 8 month sleep, it was too late then and he was fired swiftly , because he had no friends. Now can they do that to Abdiwali? The DJ leaders know that they will definitely be opening a pandora box. Abdiwali will bring the whole clique down as he is friend with everybody from Igad, Jubbland, EU and Puntland

Look now hassan sheekh is in kismayo, still barre hiiraale and many gedo politicians are not attending the conference
