What is wrong with Somalis?

Most Somalis must suffer from some form of mental illness. Why is it all the Somali leaders are so focused on becoming presidents for villages while the country is ruled by foreigners? They are all happy with becoming a president, usually in name, for a gobol or two as long as they do the bidding of a third party(Ethiopia and Kenya). That study that said one in three Somalis is mental is starting to make sense. The 90s era where we killed each other by the thousands is 100 times better than what we're doing today. I am ashamed.

Nah we are way better of today, because in the 90s the very fabric of the people was torn and somalis due to division and fued were split down into their most smallest units and nationalism because of the inter hostillity was suckled out of them. False, Ethiopia has been invading and occupying Somalia since the 80s. Some places in the south like Bay province and Bakool province have actually now been under Ethiopia military occupation longer than they were ruled by Siyaad Barre.

Dude, Ethiopia has always been meddling, in the 60s it was raids and espionage and subterfuge operations, in the 80s it was sponsoring rebels and invading the country. In the 90s it was yet again invading and supporting their prefered clan allied factions RRA later SRRC and then TFG in 2000s followed by more invasions and supplying client states (somaliland, puntland) to keep the skinnies divided and now its part of Amisom peace keeping missions . Today their having an easier time as the islamists no longer operate past the border and are confined to pockets in the country and the ONLF has been pretty much curbed. But my point that the armed somalis were fighting alongside Ethiopians or serving as clients for them still stands; back then it was factions that were all the way with the Ethiopians.

I'm moving back to Somaliland in 2-3 years time and I'm leaving my comfortable life here in the west to take part in the creation of the SL my people never got a chance to witness. The problem with Somalis is even our educated are just as reer baadiye as the guy who cannot read a letter. Some of the Somalis You'll see at the Fadhi ku Dirir spots talking Qabil 24/7 are PhD holders or very educated. With other races, their educated are more sophisticated than their uneducated.
