SOMALIA WILL HAVE A TOTAL OF 5 FEDERAL STATES

The Federal Reality of Somalia Has Sunk In Deep & Wide. The Impeccable Footprint of A Federated Union Is Undeniably Here. I believe Somalia will have this Five Federal States:

1. Puntland: Sool, Sanaag, Bari,Nugaal, Mudug, Galguduud
2. Somaliland: Togdheer, Woqooyi Galbeed, Awdal
3. Jubaland: Juba hoose, Middle Juba, Gedo
4. S/W state: Bay, Bakool, Shebelle Hoose
5. Central State: Hiiraan, Banaadir, Middle Shabelle

The official 18 regions of Somalia:[1]1. Lower Juba, 2. Middle Juba, 3. Gedo, 4. Bay, 5. Bakool, 6. Lower Shabele, 7. Banaadir, 8. Middle Shabele, 9. Hiiraan, 10. Galguduud, 11. Mudug, 12. Nugaal, 13. Bari, 14. Sool, 15. Sanaag, 16. Togdheer, 17. Woqooyi Galbeed, 18. Awdal

Since our Federal Constitution states that only two and more regions from the original 18 regions can form a Federal State. And due to the fact four of the five Federal States are already in existence, the Federal map has already been drawn out. I believe the new Central State soon to be announced will not include Galguduud, and Abgaal will not surrender the capital Status of Mogadishu. In this scenario Hawyie have two options either surrender the capital and let it be moved to Galkayo, or surrender Galguduud to Puntland. In my opinion Galguduud will be surrendered to Puntland.



2015-2016 will be very interesting years in Somali politics, I will continue to update this thread as we near this political reality and compromise.

FYI Isaaq are the majority in Sanaag, and make up about 40% of Sool.
Sanaag has been under Isaaq rule since 1991, with the Habar Jeclo and Habar Yoonis well represented.
