It seems that not only did the mps that were vying for positions not get it, but close allies of the President were also left in the dust. That includes: the infamous Farax Topaz, Abdikarim Guled, Xalane, Fawzia Haji, Beyle, Godax, Sanbaloolshe, etc.

So, what is the message the new PM is sending? It doesn't benefit you mp's to overthrow my government; and ministers, it won't benefit you to undermine me.

All I can say is God's speed PM, to vision 2016!

I must say I see quite a few good faces such as Sahra Maxamed Samatar, General C/qadir Diini, Hawo, Guleid Hussein and so on. Many of them are young and from the diaspora. I'm very happy with this list so far. But I'm still worried, since he didn't announce the deputy ministers and so on. But so far so good.

Surprised Ainte is nominated the guy from the Somali think tank. He is anti-federalist and anti-Puntland also.

Also I find it odd that the security ministry has not been even included...??

Security normally comes under the interior ministry. Interior minster without the security portfolio is just magac-u-yaal.
Interesting list though. Hawiye and Darood each have taken 5 ministers, dir was given 2 ministers so as the Isaaqs and minorities got 2 minsters.

I really don't have any hopes for HSM administration. He utterly failed by bickering with two former PM, time is really ticking. We simply have 1 year and 9 months. If this dumb president leaves this new PM alone for the remainder of time then I will be little bit pleased. But our next hope is our future leader that will replace this dumb fool.

No it doesn't. Interior minister as the British call Home affairs (wasaarada arimaha gudaha) is a separate ministry from national security minister (wasaarada amniga qaranka).

Also all 5 major clans (Daarood, Dir, Hawiye, Raxanweyn & Minorities) all received 5 ministers. Cumar fuusto did a mistake in his first 26 cabinet list (that got rejected by the parliament) by giving the minorities less but he did good this time by giving them equal seats, something Saacid introduced to the cabinet.
