Looking for clan info to help a Somali in U.S.

Hello,
Please pardon my ignorance on this topic. I work for a nonprofit in the U.S. and am trying to get information about Somali clans to help a Somali man being held in U.S. immigration detention.
This Somali is seeking asylum, and we are trying to help him get information to corroborate his claim. He is from the Aw Qudub subclan of the Shekhal/Sheikhal, from Mogadisuh. He says that his father was killed by Abgals. He also says that he became engaged with a woman from the Abgal subclan. The woman's family did not approve, and attacked or threatened him. He and his family fled to Ethiopia, and he wound up in the U.S. to seek protection from the situation.
I am trying to find information that he can present to corroborate his claim that there is conflict between the Aw Qudub and Abgal subclans in Mogadishu, or there has been in recent years, or that members of the Abgal would frown upon women from their subclan marrying a man from the Aw Qudub subclan.
Since I am completely ignorant about the politics and clan structures involved, it is very difficult to find such information, and the Somali in detention needs the information very soon. I am hoping someone from this forum might be able to help point me to helpful resources. Again, please excuse my unfamiliarity with this subject, and thank you for any help you might provide.
