I'm pretty sure armed conflict will happen if you won't surrender voluntarily. If Galmudug doesn't get the small north Mudug under their control the whole federal system will collapse. So that will leave centralism for only option. And we know who's the majority in Mudug. Either way, the future doesn't look good for your kin. And i love it. :win:

You must live in a parrallel universe where this newly established "maamul" is capable of taking on Northern Mudug. Wake up little boy and smell the coffee, Puntland is the powerhouse of Mudug, the largest part of Gaalkacyo is run Puntland, the only airport in mudug is run by Puntland, the two kastams in Gaalkacyo.....run by Puntland, even the one on the southern tip of the city is run by Puntland, the national kastam between Ethiopia and Somalia run by Puntland? you will never win a war against Puntland, simply because they have more, in every sense. You think Puntland got all this by docile and weak? meesha xiiniyo iyo xoog aya lagu jooga. My kin are busy progressing, building roads and schools for their people, we have no interest in war, but if war is forced upon us, we will defend ourselves, like we have done before, how do you think we ended up with the airport  Only in your dreams are you capable of taking all of Gaalkacyo, let alone all of Mudug.

And by majority if you mean population  the only decent sized district in Mudug after Gaalkacyo is Galdogob and guess what? yeas also run by Puntland.

Marehan didn't get 12. They got 17 to Habar Gidir's 20 or something. The rest haven't been included like Sacad in that announcent. Who would have ever thought that rer Mudug would agree by consensus.

Black, Darod aside it is highly unthinkable for Marehan central to join Puntland. Those sentiments as well as making Marehan there separate from this were attempts to sabotage the process, but as soon as the deliberations started and Marehan were convinced by the real desire for peace amd compromise Habar Gidir showed they turned to work with their neighbors. That's just the reality.

If one looks at this like Darod and Hawiye, then it looks lile the deck is stacked one way. I mean Darod is only represented by a smaller subsection of Marehan not even all of Marehan and Hawiye by gazillion sub-clans most who have no sizable stakes anywhere else. But this isn't Somalia, this is a region that doesn't look at it self like Hawiye and Darod. This is a region that really looks at itself like Marehan (a contiguous political identity), Sacad, Cayr, Murusade, etc who all look at themselves as contiguous political identities. Bu that scope, by far and away Mareha had the best draw. Still, the sub-clans are so much and the numbers shared so divided this is also a political system that calls for heavy collaboration and partnership to reach a simple majority on anything.

We will see how the process continues to evolve.

Refuse to share anything with your next of kin, only to accept a 2nd class-citizenship in a Hawiye dominated Federal Stat? The best option Mareehan in Galgudud have now is to take their districts in Galgudud and put it directly under the authority of the Federal Government in Mogadishu.

In case you haven't noticed, Hawiye owns 85% of this so-called Central State. Dir and Mareehan will share the remaining 15% present. Forget Uranium, I don't think you'll even see a penny of the taxes collected from your own districts in Galgudud.
