I believe in Somali unity but also believe in independence of Somaliland. Prove me wrong.

I've done some reading about Somaliland's history from its inception, independence from Somalia, unity and then to calls for independence.

If you were ask me whether I do think Somaliland deserves independence? I would honestly say yes.

Why? Simply because it ran an effective government and treated its own population well. Also they have shown many times that they're welcoming for people who are not one of them.

If you ask me do I believe in Somali unity? Yes I do.

Doesn't it seem paradoxical? Not really.

I honestly it would be better for Somaliland to be independent while Somalia picks up the stacks.

Unlike Djibouti, Somaliland will forever always be sympathetic to Somali unity. Somalis know it. Whilst they deny it, deep down inside they know this is the truth. Somaliland will unite when the time is right. Djibouti is on their own for they were separated from the idea of Somali unity for far too long.

Somaliland made a mistake joining Somalia but no mistake will be made joining a wealthy and stable country that is Somalia within 30 years if it gets peace now.

Also, Somaliland becoming independent will ultimately benefit all the Somalis. Would you rather to have money in hands of a Somali or Ethiopian? A Somali will rather to spend their money in their motherland and that is the land of Somalis, whether it's Somalia, Somaliland, Puntland, Jubbaland, Ogaaden, NFD, Khatumo, Adawaland, etc.

Would a Somalilander go to Mogadishu 30 years later? Of course. Ethiopian? Nah. 1 pence spent in a Somali shop in Somalia by a Somalilander is 1 pence spent towards the nation of Somalis. It is the same the other way around.

We don't owe these people anything
if these people keep acting up we should sell there 2 regions to mama habash
it literally makes perfect sense we need money ethiopia needs free port why don't we sell the 2 isaaq regions?
Of course that would require selling the awda region to djbutti but

Split the continent called 'Africa' and these tangled problems will be moved to the "actually resolvable", "actually reconciliative" section.

You also undermined Somaliland there, so you might also want to have your conniving behavior patterns sanded out as well if this is to go anywhere. Write and speak like a man.

if they recognize somaliland i believe puntland should also be recognized, considering puntland is kind of an extension of the majeerteen sultanate.

Of course that would require selling the awda region to djbutti but
It boils down to this! This whole "Somalia vs Somaliland" thing is another way of saying Daarood/Hawiye/Digil iyo Mirifle vs Isaaq. If Isaaq, I mean Somaliland, wants to secede from Somalia then they have every right to do so, of course with conditions. Isaaq wants to secede, they take the territories they settle; not an inch more and not an inch less. That's the ultimate win-win for everyone.

Fulay darod. Let's see who comes out on top isaaq vs darood. All talk no action. If somali had to choose between isaaq and darood, we know who they will choose

warrior,

Little one are you mentally challenged or what? How can you suggest selling part of your supposed country? Wouldn't it better to see another independent Somali State than to have it annexed and strengthen Your arch enemy. That would weaken you significantly, would give Ethiopia access to the coast so they can further dominate your sorry ass. Think strategies and don't let hate for Isaaq cloud your judgement
