Alshabaab can attack a hotel or a mosque with a bomb, but only the ones whose time has expired will die.
More hotels will be built, more businesses will be set up, more ppl will relocate to the city and life will continue as usual for the average Mogadishan. No amount of hate or bomb will stop the will of the people.
Yes it's all good to be resilient but usually shit like this has an end. One side wins and it's over, but they just keep coming back stronger. Either the goverment is corrupt and completely retarded to put up simple security measures or there's someone working for them on the inside. Or it ain't even al shabab but another player in the mix.
I know it bothers you to see Mogadishu prosper so you can just go and f yourself.

Got no time for you.

Let's put aside the bs pleasantries.

Nin aad taqaan yaad tahay lama yiraahdo.

Intense hate for the group made some people so blinded to the possibility that others might have their own agenda and will do anything to achieve it. Equally as ruthless and the most to gain from the on going carnage they are seen as saint sacrificing their lives for the greater good of Somali. It got to the point where al-shabaab might as well be Martians. Long forgotten they are the local youth. Ina hebel hebel iyo ilma hebel hebel.

The only response to al-shabaab is an emotional one. But no amount of condemnation, demonisation and miss-information can change the simple fact that they are SOMALI. And no foreign troop will ever be able to guarantee your safety from your own kids.

to prevent future attacks, the president should order all HG to be rounded up and removed from xamar, back to their original land in mudug. then build a wall around xamar just like the jews built one. don't allow any HG to come to xamar, even their MPs. The MPs and other cabinet ministers from HG can join parliament via video link. HG are masquerading as al-shabab. they haven't given up general "I did's" dream of killing off anyone who aint HG.

If you think my proposed solution will not solve the problem of bombings in xamar, go fock yourself.

Have a nice day.

True. But honestly speaking the sporadic nature of these bombings makes it so off-putting for people to come and invest in Mogadishu, especially if they're not Hawiye. I really hope the government there gets their shit together and completely cleanse Al-Shabab out of Somalia

To the Puntlanders, Somalilanders and Jubbalanders - Either show solidarity with the people of Mogadishu and accept Mogadishu to be your Capital or SHUT THE FUCK UP and mind your f-king business. Criticizing Hawiye and at the same time claiming to have nothing to do with Hawiye and the Mogadishu-based government doesn't make sense. You want to criticize, fine go ahead, but only when you accept that Mogadishu is your capital, the SFG is your government and that YOU are either going to be part of the problem or part of the solution. Quit having this effeminate characteristics towards SFG/Mogadishu/Hawiye. I don't see Hawiye soldiers and politicians in Garowe, Hargeisa and Kismayo, but there sure are a whole lot of Daarood and Isaaq politicians and soldiers in Mogadishu part of the SFG.

The price we pay for this war on "Terror" has surpassed mountains and it's not even our war. We are fighting the West's war, and surely it's a dead end trap.

13 years Super Powers have been waging a war they promised would bring Taliban to a complete end in Afghanistan only for the United States to beg for Negotiations with Taliban so they can leave peacefully.

Have we not asked our selves what we are doing waging a war even the Super Powers have come to realize can not be won?

Close to a Million well armed men were sent to Afghanistan, with the most high tech Military equipment, training, and intelligence. Well over a Trillion dollars spent and the Taliban is the last man standing.

So for you nomads to even fathom tribally based, beyond poorly paid Somali security forces to ever coming close to defeating or destroying Al Shabaab is beyond a joke. The only reason the Somali Government in Mogadishu itself hasn't been destroyed yet is due to the fact it's existence is guarded by well armed and well paid African Union forces that are well over 25,000 today.

Conclusion: Since the west have realized it cannot win the "War On Terror" it has started a containment war business. African countries and their soldiers are being paid well to do everything they can to contain Al Shabaab within the Somali border. The result of this is the ordinary Somali shouldering daily suicide attacks, drone strikes and their women getting raped daily by AU Adoon troops.

There is no one to blame but our political leadership for this trap we find ourselves in today. Those that do not have a solution for the political worldwide crisis Somalia finds itself in need to step a side so those who do have solutions can raise to the occasion.

The absolute truth. Somalia needs a political revolution if we are ever going to become a normal place ever again.
