Is this a joke? After three years sitting in Kismaayo they have yet to secure 30 km north of it?

Btw it looked like they were getting training rather than engaging in active combat.

Kismaayo,

Do think these soldiers lasted longer than a day of firing into the air? They are known to be pretty unenthusiastic about late wages. They once handed all their weapons to Shabaab for not getting paid (I will PM you the video if you need proof)

Ahmed Madoobe will never try to cross Bundada Araare because he wants to maintain a buffer zone of Alshabab between him and Mogadishu. Just a last push towards Saakow and Buaale, freeing all the towns south of the river, and he is done. Venturing into the parts of Jilib and Jamame districts north of the Juba is an absolute waste of man power for an extremly weak adminstration. Add to that the fact that there are no Darood north of the river in those degmos, and its a no-brainer to leave it as a buffer.

Waryaa how safe are Jilib and Jamaame with it being controlled by Al-Shabaab? How safe is it for a Darod/MJ to venture into those lands? What is the population in Middle Juba, is it mostly jareer or are there Hawiyes there?

How about the farmland there, am I allowed to buy some farmland from the people that control the land? Will I be forced to forced to pay non-native tax even though I'm from Kismayo?

Jzkallah.

How far is Buundada Araare from Kismaayo. Saw video of the battle between Darood and USC in 90s.

Jilib has been a divided area, north was USC allied and the South SPM allied. The whole city is a buffer between between Mogadishu influenced clans and Kismaayo/Afmadow clans. Madoobe has secured most of the political allies necessary to control Jamaame and potential hostile areas of Jilib when the time comes.

Stuff the Maryooleys though, Jilib mayor should be Bantu-Somali.

Saakow and Buaale are not south of the river, but north. Most of the populous towns are north. Lower parts are sooooooo under populated. There are not huge numbers of Ogaden or marehan or any darood or anyone bellow the river EXCEPT Kismayo and some places in Gedo.
