Gaalkacyo International Airport (GAX), by far the most impressive looking airport in the Skinny Peninsula. Kudos to reer Galmadug! Keep up the good work.

The Greater Gaalkacyo Area, is too huge of a metro to do with only one airport. That is why, in addition to the already existing Cabdulahi Yousuf International in the northern quadrant of the city, they have just recently unveiled in the Galmadug administered south a major airline hub called Gaalkacyo International (GAX). These two great airports shall do for the time being, though, at the rate this city is growing, there may very well be a need for a third one in the not so distant future.

Let's stop deluding ourselves by coming up with excuses for Gaalkacyo to have more than one airport in a town with 500,000 population. The Galmudug just want revenue for their own airport and this further leads to separation of the people. One airport was enough. Their priority should lie in efficient systematic roads and urban planning of construction instead of ceeb measuring contest.

I know your posts are sarcastic, but what do you mean (GAX)? Maxaad kasoo gaabsatay?

An airport is not just a source of revenue. Controlling the only airport in the city is controlling the city. You know where I'm going with this.

What does it take for a man to be taken seriously here? :mindblown:

Anyway, the acronym GAX, stands for Gaalkacyo Airport. The X signifies nothing here and is simply a place holder for the minimum three-letter airport code required by the aviation industry.

This a good move both politically and economically. (Well at least politically).

Stop being sarcastic and maybe we'll take you serious.

Anyway thanks, but they named the airport OSHAKA. I don't know why they asked the Japanese engineer to name the airport

It's a waste of resources when they don't have modern roads on the town.
