Somalia's Prime minister fires two ministers

The prime minister of Somalia Omar Abdirashid Sharmarke has just fired two ministers, source PM's office revealed.

The premier sacked Minister of Trade & Industry Abdirahman Abdi Osman & Minister of power & Water Mohamed Hassan Aden Shaahiyow.

Abdullahi Mohamed Ahmed was appointed as the new minister of trade and industry while Mohamed Mursal Sheikh has been named for ministry of water and power.

I can see the motions miles away.

With the power sharing policy, the appointment of Mursal as minister automatically means that the minister of Health Hawa Mohamed is out. As soon as her relate meant is found she is getting the boot too.

Susu, I think Hawa's position will not be affected after the Appointment of the former ambassador of Somalia to Turkey. Yes they are both rahanwein but different clans.

That is correct, they are both rahanwein, but since rahanwein have a large number of subclans, they where allocated ministrial seats according to sub clans, the subclans that Hawo and Mursal hails from share one ministerial seat which was until yesterday held by Hawo.
Since Mursal was appointed yesterday, Hawo is out because both their subclans can't be ministers..

The ajuuraan guy was replaced by a sheekhaal guy. As I told Vivaviciois, Mursal and hawos subclans has jointly got one ministrial seats, which means both of them can't be ministers.

My mistake, I was confusing Hawo with Sahro Samatar. But yeah, it appears that Hawo Hassan is Hadame and so is the new Mursal guy.

It is as you said, she will have to resign which is very sad because she is a capable woman.

Haha far from it actually, I have a very good friend who is hadame..and I personally take great interest in Somali politics and this 4.5 power sharing system.. So it's friends along with some personal research..

I don't know much about this power sharing thingy but a rahanwein friend confirmed it to me that mursal is luwey. Don't know if you mean that both these clans can't have seats at the same time. But anyway I don't like the fact that a former diplomat is appointed as a minister, much less a useless ministry. And hawa I don't know much about what she achieved. All in all I believe these changes should have affected others too. Like reshuffling them.

Yes you are right, they are two different subclans, but both of them can't be ministers at the same time as their two subclans together has one ministrial seat, so it's either one or the other, not both..

There are all sorts of things she is accused of, everything from writing letters of recommendation for people applying for health visas for money.
Once following a hotel attack, a plane from ( don't remember the country) came to pick up injured for treatment outside Somalia, she then flew in previously injured people from baidoa and sent them too..

She has also done much, but from what I've understood she's been corrupt.. Which should be no reason to target her individually as every single one of them are corrupt as f*ck
