No wonder Puntland is pushing District based representation

Postby Kudo » Wed Dec 16, 2015 10:31 am

This is how the Darods mps is currently shared in the Parliament

Mareehan 15 MP
Majeerteen 12 MP
Ogaden 10 MP
Dhulbahante 8 MP
Warsangeli 5 MP

With District based representation it would look like this.

Majeerteen 11 MP
Mareehan 8 MP
Ogaden 4 MP
Dhulbahante 4 MP
Warsangeli 2 MP

Overall it wouldnt help minorities one bit or tackle the issues Somalia have but we know why some are pushing this.

Ogaden have 10 MP right now under 4.5 system. But 4 MP is what they will get if District Based representation is applied.

unless u are biased...you should know that we are dominant in both jubbas, we even go as far as gedo

afmadow, badhaadhe, kismayo. bualle, saakow and three districts in bakool...anyways im sure we will get more than 4.

OGs are pure nomads, they don't own even a single district. 99% of them are un-educated. but they are good with religion at least.
Did you hear about that OG family who wanted to make the entire jubba river sweet by pouring 2 truckloads of sugar in it.
