Stop hating and say Ma Sha Allah iyo Alhamdulillahi 8-)
Bosaaso Airport once fully completed should look better than that 1st picture, but indeed it is what we are shooting for. :som: :som: :som:

Cool we're happy for you that you finally get a decent airport. But stop misleading people with Las Vegas photo and claiming it as Bosaaso

Bosaso can utilize the solar power, also solar power can be utilized in major cities located in galkacyo, mareeg, all the way to mogadishu.it is a cheap alternative,we also can utilize wind power in our shores.it is good i envision more development in somali cities in next few years.2020 is the year i am gonna go back inshalah.

My bought some land back home and planning on Building a house fully powered by Solar Power, it will only cost me $10,000 straight from China. 8-)

Seriously everything in Somalia should be powered by Solar and Generators need to be backup.

Your right the picture with the lights is not bosaso airport right now. However this is what it will look like after the airport is completed with lightening like any other international airport.

Ps the construction of garoowe airport has just started also. PL will have 2 major airports in the horn. Alhamdulila

After good 8 years of global fund raising, multiple internal quarrels, continues start-stop, its a miracle how the Chinese have persevered if the reports are to be believed that its finally being done, after 18 years its about a good time too.

I don't understand why they have chosen bosaaso, after transit from hargaisa and spending a few days there, the climate is a lot worse then dubai, suffocating heat, I was ill for a whole month with stinging headaches because of it, town is literally deserted during the summer, they should have built it in Garowe, makes no sense to do so in a place most of its inhabitants leave for qardo/garowe during the treacherous unbearable summer days.

Excellent project.

Congrats to reer Puntland.

Lakiin nimanka MJ wa niman sida dumarka faan badan.

If we be logical, it will not be a game changer because right now small population of the Somali people go to PL and surrounding regions.

It will sure make things easier for PLanders but the bulk of the population is still around Banadir and Waqooyi Galbeed. So Mogadishu and Hargeisa will continue to dominate their usual sectors.

I doubt even any foreign airliners will sign up for Bosasso simply because its not business viable.

Let's wait a year I know right now reer PL is excited lakin time will reveal the truth for them.

It will be an airport that serves between Hargeisa-Mogadishu for people going to PL, Erigabo, Galkacayo.

70% of the Somali Diaspora are reer Puntland, and no Somali city has the number of Businessmen and Businesswomen than Bosasso. This airport is a game changer, it may or may not take Hargeya iyo Mogadishu out of business but best believe it will be on an equal footing. 3-hour direct flight to Dubai no one can beat that. The among of people who have been awaiting for this airport to be completed are unimaginable. People I personally know family and friends have postponed trips to Somalia just waiting for Bosasso Airport to start operating.
