Turkey to build Military Base in Mogadishu

Specifically one of the highlights of the signed document is that Turkey will build fully-equipped military facilities for Somalia commandos inside the country in near future. The agreement outlines ways of boosting cooperation on military logistic, peace support and humanitarian relief and counter-piracy.

the agreement, both sides will cooperate in the following military training and education areas: Training provided by the Military Medical Academy and Mapping General Command, training at schools affiliated to forces (military high schools, the military academy, military medical schools, NCO vocational colleges and branch schools), training and education between gendarmerie and coast guard, pre-occupational training and task-related courses and training centers and on-the-job training at units, headquarters and institutions.

This military cooperative agreement between Mogadishu and Ankara comes after a deal reached by the Defense ministries of both countries,

I take a different view of why the United States is in Somalia. A close examination of the geography leaves one with an inescapable conclusion. As a source of air and naval bases, Somalia is first-rate. Currently, all we can control is Diego Garcia, a tiny island in the Indian Ocean that is too small and further away from the oil-rich gulf.
Land-based U.S. warplanes and naval power in Somalia would be in a position to dominate the Persian Gulf and much of North Africa. Ground forces stationed in Somalia would be able to respond quickly to any Iraqi or Iranian threat. This ability to dominate the Persian Gulf is why the Russians built air bases there in the first place.

Somalia has no army not even militia men. All the security is in the hands of Ethiopians, Kenyans and Ugandans.

Turks will not do anything for Somalia because Turkey values its relations with Ethiopia more so does the USA.

They will both go through Addis Ababa before anything is delivered to unpredictable Mooryaans who could send the entire region into chaos. Ethiopia will then have no choice but to shell Mogadishu once again.

I don't think the civilized world wants that. Somalia is known for talking, running mouth and running legs once the bullets are fired.

Russia will be watching Turkish movement in the region as will China. So really Turkey first needs to win the war in its own backyard. The Kurds will soon declare an independent state backed by Israel, Russia and even some Western countries via Israel.
