Bosasso Airport is a threat to SL economy. There would be absolutely no reason to go to Berbera/Hargeysa transit when Bosasso has the capacity for big airlines. They know this and is eating them inside.

Mogadishu-Bosasso.
Lol threat to our economy? Sure some Puntlanders will fly directly to Bosaaso now, but what percentage of traveling people that go through SL are Puntlanders, perhaps less than 1%. That is drop in the pocket. Also most diaspora come during summer months and we all know bosaaso is too hot and humid during the summer, meanwhile it is 80s with cool breeze in H- town. :stylin:

U can't compare this new airport in Boosaaso with Hargeisa airport. Hargeisa airport is x10 better.

It's a proper runway. Even if it's two KM it's not just tarmac which is why it's a big deal. It's safe to land there at night. Big up to Somaliland for all the solar developments and street lighting. Well done the both of you.

Whose talking about a terminal here, it is the biggest runway and most developed it is 2.4 KM. Whilst Hargeisa is 2KM. Bosaso airport isn't even finished it will be extended to 3.4 in a year with new terminal. Rer badiyee thinks airport is all about the terminal building.

Just face it somaliland is now irrelevant has been for sometime. The silaanyo regime is truelly letting you people down I haven't seen any major development come from SL for years now.

SL needs educated innovative leaders like PL.

Most Somali diaspora come through UAE. Bosaso is a minor stop on the route from Dubai to Mogadishu and Nairobi, while Hargeisa would be a huge detour. The only people who will now be using Hargeisa are Somaliland people, while it used to be the hub for everyone.

That's exactly what I meant. Why would Koonfur or PL want to go to SL when it's faster to travel to Bossasso as transit.

Threat to SL economy, why, because some PL'res will go straight to Bosasso now?
Most Somalis come through UAE that's true, but the flights are already direct from Dubai to Xamar.
So they are not passing through your new airport as well.

You gotta love MJ's,
They wanna rub that new airport in your face and make it something much bigger than what it already is.

:pac:

Why stop at bosaaso, when there are....

Direct flights from Dubai to Mogadishu daily
Direct flights from Dubai to Hargeisa via flydubia airline

Also as far as business is concerned, Bossaaso will always play second fiddle to Hargeisa. There is no competition here.
