UDF came through a mandate and we have been asking for the IC to equip the security apparatus till we can rely on our own revenues to pay their salary,equip them but they lately realized the importance.Underequipped Somali forces are fighting Alshabab-militans,ISI militants,but they get the right equipment like UDF,they will deal with alshabab on their own ,but this is only initial planning,SUPERVISION by UDF,USA,TURKEY will continue for more and more years.Baby steps

Anyone who says that Jubaland will crumble if Kenya leaves is kidding themselves. Ahmed Madoobe today controls more territory than Alshabab in Jubaland. Towns like Afmadow and Dhobley were secured and are being held only by Darawiishta Jubaland. The Kenyans don't leave Kismaayo, it is Jubaland soldiers who are holding the line on the Juba in Buulo Gaduud. Ahmed Madoobe can hold his own, I would be more worried about Culusow and Shariif Sakiin who don't have the support of their own people.
