You'd have to be one extremely evil person to take down a rival business like that. I doubt that's the case. This is not a small town, you will manage to attract customers if the service is good. I think they have someone they send to scout the area they want to hunt in advance to see if there are more people. Then the individuals goes back and tells them whether there are many people there and then they decide to proceed. They've done the preps as far as loading the car with explosives inorder to not waste time.

alshabab used to attack gov installations,big hotels since hotels are invested in security and you cant just jam a car into hotel,they just change into softer targets like seaside hotels,etc mosques ,this has nothing to do with bussiness rivarly.

when alshabab member is identified dead/live,his family is asked for the losses incurred if they have money if not what ever plot of land they have in mogadishu is confiscated ,this has lessened the shababab wave attacks in recent years.

I used to wonder why heavy business guys from my toll left for gaalkacyo or nairobi and why prominent people I know don't go there, you can't have your private security guards to protect you like was the case before, this is the result of removing technicals and banning private security, before that everyone was responsible for securing his xaafad, every car or person that came in was known, the private security were people from the xaafad, the locals knew them, they knew everyone too, this was changed by government legislation and we see the results.
