women do most of the hard work both in the Miyi as well Magaalooyin. They're also more productive than men in back home. Men chew Qat + corruption.

I believe women can change our backward society if they allowed to climb the ladder.

lej, yep, women do the heavy-lifting in and outside of somalia.

games, many ppl try to use religion when it is on their side of the argument at hand.

Knet, u missed the point. Somaii constitution gives her all th rights she needt to lead the country. Some ppl who are happy with this same const re telling her u cannot do it.

She's right. There is no Islamic reason why she can't be president. Even under a caliphate she could still be the leader of the country while all Muslims are under the general leadership of a Caliph. I like her and Farmaajo but I see no end to HSM's reign I'm afraid.

I believe in the not too distant future, we would have a female Raysal Wasaare, if not a president.

GubanOg, women are out performing men in Qurbaha sxb. Few years back i attended my cousins college graduation and there were 8 Somalis getting a degrees. Except for my cousin and two others (3), the rest were Somali Xalimos.

Our of 8, 3 were male and 5 were female. That's very nearly half. I think Somali boys get a bad rep because of the few who's lives go really wrong. Somali guys are doing OK generally, plenty of Xalimos fell off too but they only hurt themselves so they don't end up in the media.

What I'm talking about is in somali society females are welcomed to a certain level easier for them to attain a minster position that's a yes,but for presidency that's a hell no.

I really could care less but I know for sure for female in somali society to become president there is a slim chance and it isn't going to happen any time soon.
