C/Yusuf has killed more of my clansmen then Faroole and Gas combined could ever hope for, I am not consumed with hate and will give credit when they are due, if you go through my posts I was Anti ICU as well as Anti Qeybdiid my own uncle, the former because they were idiots and playing right into the hands of the Ethiopians, the latter because it was about revenge for him, he almost lost his life in the ICU Vs Warlords battle in Xamar and lost a lot of men, then when he retired in Gaalkacyo, they came after him there as well so he had no choice but to ally with C/Yusuf and the Ethiopians, he is a wanted man and can't flee to another country, sacad were split 50/50 on both sides, I supported neither and you can see why because it was mostly Hawiye dying both sides.
C/Yusuf when he was setting up Puntland met with uncles of mine, he wanted sacad to be part of it, he made a lot of concessions that included vice presidency and 1/4 of minister posts but the timing was very bad at that time, despite the refusal, he didn't meddle in your affairs or try to foment strive like Faroole and Gaas did, he had good relations, when we were busy capturing Kismaayo and our man were fighting on multiple fronts overstretched, he could have very easily took advantage and attacked but instead signed peace treaty which held to the dismay of Gaas whom famously rebuked him in the 90's and Yeey's famous response was " Your kids have milk in the fridge, our's don't"
His only problem was his insatiable hunguri to become president by any means necessary, he wasn't greedy, he controlled his people with an Iron fist, before Ali Mahdi was appointed he met with Ceydiid wanting the PM post promising to bring the whole of Darood, but Ceydiid in his biggest mistake refused and insisted on TUUR whom didn't control Hargaisa, he was a uniting force that wanted what's best for the country, he formed alliances with everyone, the only Darood president to win in 4.5 election in which today MJ are threatening secession over rather then following his foot prints
If he were alive today, he would have probably killed Faroole and Gaas for what they have reduced Puntland too and how they have managed to turn everyone against them, ciise riyoole tribe of faroole never even talked during his reign, when C/Yusuf was president of Puntland, bosaaso port was serving not just the whole of koonfur but also mandheere in Kenya, that's the heights he took them, they lost the fast majority of that under these buffoons, if they had someone like him, no doubt in my mind they would rule Somalia, but he came at a very bad time with all these warlords & using Ethiopian's which made him even less popular, but he didn't have no other choice. I call a spade a spade sxb that's the difference between us.
