I can understand why the Northerners hate the Hawiye component in southern Somalia.
Some of these elements have a lot to do with geography. When you forefathers inherited the desert, its kinda hard to see a man picking mangos and papayas. I mean, you question why the south has issues and north is stable. It's really basic common sense.
What is there to inherit in the North? Whats there to fight for? Whats there conquer?
Dhalinyarada Somaliland/Puntland have inherited a desert, while the Hawiye has perhaps inherited the best portion of Somalia.

Yet still the south has more displaced, refugees and starving people.

If the Turks won't there to feed, every year as many as 200,000 Konfuuris would starve to death.

The river only floods and has accessible water when it rains in Oromo highlands.

Meanwhile...

The refugee camps in Dhadaab alone house more than a million Southerners who left the Jannah you keep talking about. Why are they in the Kenyan desert begging for expired UN rations if you live in paradise :smugruss:

yet the southerns are the ones walking for months to reach bosaso and hargeysa.. you will find in every north eastern and north western towns and desert villages people from the fertile rich lands of the south as mere refugees but you wont see the opposite..

you can live in opportunity rich canada and live like a rat while a geezer from poor slum kenya can lead a life that only celebrities live in the west..why is that?

its what you make of your situation..dont ask what your land can do for you but what you can do for your land

Desert my ass.In my native Arabsiyo,we have all kinds of fruits from Mangos, peaches, papaya and in my uncle garden he grows a few banana trees aswell.I remember seeing the valleys of Arabsiyo rushing with water and turn into a mighty river. You reer konfuur are just plain stupid. If Jibril Abokor alone were to own areas around Shabelle and Juba.Wallahi not one Hawiye,Raxanweyn or any other Qabil down south would starve. You don't even know how to make use of your lands.

A people starving on rich fertile land are the definition of stupid.Take the L !

:pac: :russ: :deadrose:

Ninkan Tycoon has a chip on his shoulders. In every tpoic he uses the north as a measuring tape.

If you live in Paradise say Alhamdulilah and go live your life but no they have to get validation.

It's thus clear who is envious.

No northerner ever posts any landscape or materialism of south apart from the my village contest topics :)

So why do they need validation and reassurances always?

Btw some pics are Sanaag and Arabsiyo.

Meanwhile in the great southern paradise its needy people continue to live in a desert under 45 degrees steel shacks...

Let me add this news that just came in. I'm not taking any shots at any body but I like to educate clueless brothers like Tycoon.

It is clear he never saw the regions and lands he likes to 'boast' about.

I did say the two rivers are both fed by rains in the Oromo highlands. If no rain, they just dry up like any Somali doox.

The water dries up all together or reaches low levels that cannot be accessed.

Just today:

http://hiiraan.com/news4/2016/Mar/10450 ... lture.aspx
Water crisis threaten Somali region’s agriculture

BELEDWEYNE (HOL) – Aid workers and local officials in the central Somali region of Hiiraan warned that severe water shortages continue to threaten farming communities in provincial capital of Beledweyne and large parts of the region, one of the country’s major producing sources.

Last month, the United Nations warned that more than 50,000 children in Somalia "face death" because of the ongoing drought there.

Water crisis also forced residents to transport water from distant boreholes, few of the water sources left for the region after the Shabelle River which is an important water supply source for the region’s farmers has been drained dry due to droughts, leaving crops failed and dried.

Speaking at an emergency meeting between aid workers and the region’s administration, Yusuf Ahmed Hagar, the governor of Hiiraan region pledged his administration’s readiness to implement water-shortage contingency plan to tackle the region’s water crisis, calling for support by aid agencies.

”This is an emergency situation that requires an urgent attention and action to tackle the water crisis.” He said.

Meanwhile, farmers have expressed concerns over the impact of the drought, calling aid agencies to take urgent measures to enable them to continue crop productions.

Aid workers in the region said that the failure of the annual rainy seasons along with the dryness of the traditional rain water catchment facilities due to the drought exacerbated the situation, denying farmer of any farming prospects.
I pray the same prayers as Hadraawi for Beledweyne.

I hope Tycoon overcomes his inferiority complex and educates himself better. Climate change is affecting the south more as proven by the 10 year study research I shared weeks ago.

Consider this an education.

This 10 years in the making map shows areas under stress and that will shift while mountainous regions are more resilient.

The reason why people fled/flees the south was and is instability. Lets not kid ourselves, OP is right. If real peace returns everyone will flock to the south. No one wants to live on the surface of mars unless being forced to. :)

It's not about how fertile the land is, it's about how well you can manage it. Israel one of the driest places on earth has produced more crops than Kenya. They produce so much crops that they only use 10% and export the other 90%.

I'm happy with where I come from. Togdheer has the largest proven underground water in east Africa.
And if me people were to build a dam we would turn the entire togdheer area green.
