Sanctions? Why are wanlaweyn fixated on destroying peace in the name of "somalinimo". Besides this is Africa, all we have to do is grease a few palms. .

Also what unionists movement in the north? Khatumo is nothing but a tribal enclave that's trying to get a meal ticket from the federal gov. At least Somaliland has open dialogue and active participation from those regions it holds as its borders. SSC is nothing but a dhulbahante meal ticket, if there was any sincerity they would open dialogue with their neighbors in the aforementioned regions. So don't use empty phrases such as somalinimo and unity when referring to a clan enclave that can't get along with any of its neighbors or even amongst themselves.

How can Mogadishu administration impose sanctions on Hargeisa when Hargeisa has no reliance to Mogadishu of any kind.

It can't issue economic sanctions because there is no trade between the two. Can you name a single thing they can restrict or halt?

They tried airlines but realised Hargeisa has its own international airport and carriers like FlyDubai and Ethiopian already fly there. There is no need for Landers to travel via Mogadishu.

There is no any production or any goods from Mogadishu making its way to Hargeisa.

SL traders import very few vegetables and fruits but they can easily replace that with Ethiopia with just one phone call.
