Isaac actually was coastal people and had very little camels. The Ogaden was and is still well known for the wealth of camels.

Whatever camels Isaac have today, they were almost all looted from Ogadens and notice only the Isaacs who raided Ogaden territories possess the most camels out off any Isaac family namely the Garhajis.

The Haud region was captured too and Ogadens evicted.




The Ainanshe of HY and the Yonis of Eidagale were the two main sub-clans who raided them. Unlike Yonis who was sympathetic and approved of marrying Ogaden women, HY was ruthless. Until recently, it was common thing for a Yonis (Eidagale sub) to have an Ogaden mother.

Equally the Eidagale general in the British funded camel corps, ina Dunbuluq, used the British arms to push Ogadens south---that's how they arrived in the Jubba valleys fleeing.
