Isaac actually was coastal people and had very little camels. The Ogaden was and is still well known for the wealth of camels.

Whatever camels Isaac have today, they were almost all looted from Ogadens and notice only the Isaacs who raided Ogaden territories possess the most camels out off any Isaac family namely the Garhajis.

The Haud region was captured too and Ogadens evicted.

1) The dates on your sources is late 1800's

2) The mentioned battles took part in the coast of Somaliland.

You know I could use habar yonis and eidagale poets to confirm what I am saying. Historically isaq has fought with two subclans of ogaden. The reer isaaq and the makahil and they have lost more often than not. Isaaq only got the upper hand after the arrival of the english and the fall of the Dervish. Before that, we controlled most of the land and you occupied very few territories. It is funny even with the british arming your clan you could not even fully settle in the hawd.
