Somalia needs a two party system

Postby MaydhMax » Sat Apr 23, 2016 3:32 am

[&%
By 2020 :som: should have only two political parties that exists and both third parties and independents should be banned from elections

a religious Centre-right party and a secular Centre-left party only

a two party system along with a quasi parliamentary form of government ( strong president and strong PM both elected by Parliament ) and also a devolved unitary state will be the way forward for the nation

What you fail to take into consideration is Somalia has religion deeply ingrained in its history. A two party state with religion on one side and secularism on the other would undoubtedly lead to consistent and predictable victory's for the religious party over the secular party.

Lool dadkan waa too naive, sheeko yaroo kasta oo maqlaan aduunkay ka jirtaa bay la shir imanayan. Bidix iyo midig tan aad ka hadlaysaan qofka Somaliga ah midna waxbuu Ku cunaa midna xaarr kuu isaga dhaqaa. Macno kale oo ay inoo leedahay ma jirto marka xaqiiq loo hadlo. Somalidu dhaqan, class, diin, madhab iyo ideology kale midna kuma kala duwana qoladaa shabaabta mooyaane. Waxa keliya ee aynu Ku kala duwanahay waa qabiikka, for that reason every political party will be based on clan lines. 2 parties means two clan based voting blocks, one hawiye and an other Darod . Waxan anagaa Soo tijaabinay. 4.5 kiinaas wax idiin dhaama arki maysaane hayska bedelina. Xaqiiqatan 4.5 Ku waa nidaam Soomaali leedahay oo aan arkay ka ugu fiican. Ugu muranka yar uguna kharashka kooban. Waa inclusive and fair enough.

western style multiparty liberal democracy doesnt work in africa....what would work is a democratic sole legal party that would rule but is a big-tent, catch-all group which offers from its ranks multiple candidates in presidential and parliamentary elections regularly
