Peace Meeting in Jigjiga - Walalaha Wardheer

After the recent fighting between the state militia i.e. Liyuu police and Rer Galmudug, Abdi Ileey, DDSI President invited Galmudug President Guled to Jigiga for talks to end the fighting. Ahmed Madoobe, President of Jubbaland is the peace broker who called the meeting under the "Walalaha Wardheer" umbrella to end the fighting between the historically allied qabiils from the days of the Sayiid Abdille Hassan to the war against the Marxist regime etc.

What will come out of it is unknown. However, in the past, there have been very few incidents of conflict between the HG and OG and never directly until the Liyuu police. Most of the conflict was part of the Greater Jeberti vs. HAG saga.

But the civilian populations on both sides are brothers and sister, who have a history together.

The Liyuu police are a mix of street thugs, alcoholics, from ONLF members, WSLF militia, and clan members. Every year Ina Ilay graduates several thousand of them so even if 100 of them die, you won't hear a peep. What their doing along the border is nothing short of ethnic cleansing, burning villages, raiding livestock.
