Top 10 Largest Cities In Somalia

1.Mogadishu 1,300,000
Mogadishu is a multi-ethnic city but Abgaal clan consider Mogadishu as their traditional territory. The mixture of these various groups produced the Benadiri or Reer Xamar (“People of Mogadishu”)

2.Hargeisa 400,000
It is primarily inhabited by people from the Somali ethnic group, with the Isaaq clan well-represented.

3.Bosaso 370,000
Most of the city's population is from the Harti confederation of Darod sub-clans,and leelkase darood. Bosaso also has a significant number of Meheri Arabs

4.Baidoa 300,000
The city is situated at the center of one of the most densely populated areas in the nation. It is an ethnically and culturally diverse town, with many local residents originating from other parts of the country.
Additionally, Baidoa is the heartland of Maay, an Afro-Asiatic language principally spoken by the Digil and Mirifle (Rahanweyn or Sab) clans in the southern regions of Somalia

5.Galkayo 250,000
Clan tensions in the area have historically been high.
The Israac district of Galkayo is inhabited by Majeerteen, Garsoor districts is inhabited by Leelkase, Baraxley district is inhabited by the Sa'ad Habar Gidir, a Hawiye clan, there are also other clans in the city like Awrtable, a darod clan & Madhibaan

6.Burao 200,000
The main residents of Burao are the Habar Yoonis and the Habar Jeclo, subdivisions of the larger Isaaq Somali clan

7,Kismayo 140,000
Kismayo is inhabited by a diverse group of people. Prior to the civil war, the inhabitants of city were mainly represented by the Absame,Harti,Sade & Tanade, Cawra maleh & Gaal Jecel, the city also has a very large constituency from the Bantu ethnic minority group ,as well as various Bajuni

8.Merca 120,000
The inhabitants of Merca hail from Biyomal , Shanshi Groups & Digil

9.Borama 100,000
The city of Borama is primarily inhabited by Gadabursi clan also known as Samaroon

10.Beledweyne 90,000
The main residents of Beledweyne are the Hawadle & there are also Galje'el minority in the city

In your dreams Borama is definitely bigger than Baidoa, Galkacyo, Kismayo and Merca

I believe Laascaanood is in the top 10, bigger than Marka & Beletweyne. Size & population.

Borame is bigger, Berbera is not that populated, Nor is Garowe last estimate was 57,000 Buhoodle was around 50,000. Laascaanood 100,000 would be second in this group to Boorame 120,000 or so.

Kismaayo is up there. Xamar, Hargaisa, Jabuti, Jigjiga, Burco, Bosaaso, Kismaayo, Boorame, Garisa, Gaalkacyo, Laascaanod, Beledweyn, Gebilay, Cerigaabo, Garoowe, Jowhar, Buhoodle, Qardho, etc

Borama is bigger then those y'all mentioned.Berbera is indeed a ghost town but still is very strategic.Garowe and Lascanood are the size of Sheikh Madar in Hargeisa lmfaoo
