This makes sense. When you look at the way iley presented their achievement to culusaw. In a way culusaw seems like a president taking notes from his governor. It's logic to say the tigre junta directed this whole drama to send signals to the Amhara uprising .It had nothing to do with Hassan's re-elections. Gabre does not need Hassan to visit Jigjiga to carry out his mission in Mogadishu. He never needed that.
The motive was rather about the Amhara region protest.
They wanted to show to the Amhara that if they don't support current government and the "Habesha unity" Ethiopia would disintegrate and Somalia would claim "Hararghe".
The majority of Ethiopians are very illiterate and have no clue beyond their villages.
They do not believe nor think there are such thing as "Somali Ethiopians". They believe the Somalis moved into Ethiopian territory to seek refuge like the early Muslims.
If you tell them that you are Somali and indeed from Ethiopia they will demand explanation. They don't even know the difference between Somali and Somalia.
So the TPLF made a tactic move by inviting Hassan to Jigjiga and blasting him on national tv in Jigjiga while they never showed him in Addis.
Very clever.
