This move came after they ordered ina iley to go on national tv and issue his calacaal about 'the old Ethiopia' resurrecting and erasing "diversity and new Ethio".

That message was aimed at Amhara and it's why it was in Amharic.

My Amhara friends seen it days before I did and they asked me; "who is the fat Somali guy issuing threats against Ethiopians in broken Amharic?"

The Amharas are blunt and most of them are more direct than the Tigrai.

The Tigrai will go to Somalis feeding them about anti-Amhara but as soon as he meets Amhara he will play the old Habesha and Tewahedo card.

Of course Amhara have soft spot for them and would rather focus on Somalis and Oromo.

The Tigrai needs the Amhara and considers his cultural, Solomonic, Habesha, Geez and Tewahedo brother but hates his stubborn views that Ethiopia is Kingdom of Amhara.

With Somalis and Oromo there is little commonality other than temporary usage to consolidate power over the old rivalry Amhara.

The Tigrais are telling Amhara and Oromo Liyu police, a Somali militia, are killing them.

They then go to likes of ina iley and give him few encouraging words to boost his ego.

Now Amhara and Oromo eye Somalis.

from our perspective, Somaliland needs to carry out two scenarios:

1. firstly strengthen ethiopia's unity and in return let isaaq deegaans become its own regional state away from ddsi e.g. reserved hawd regional state
2. if the ddsi and other regions break away from addis, somaliland must annex all isaaq deegaans and encourage djibouti to annex dir deegaans

You can't stand to Ina iley how can you stand to a bigger fish Ethiopia?
