Somalia only exists on paper. International community provides money, Africans provide troops. The political process is controlled by foreigners.

1) How about if we give this country to others who can manage it better and utilize the resources?
2) Or request for official U.N trusteeship for at least 20 years so we can learn how to run a country?

We are clan based society qabil comes first for us. The only way such society can function if the clans are in agreement or there's powerful qabil that can rule everyone. somaliland has both but it can't regain independence pragmatism is what they lack. The south is doomed too many competing factions. The former somali republic is never coming back just like the Soviet union n Yugoslavia.

i agree,it is failed because one lunatic person called warlord aydiid decided to ruin for the rest of us,he had a choice to let somalia prosper but chose the path of death,destruction,mooryanimo and filthy criminality over everything else thus plunging the country into perpetual state of anerchy,lawnessness and famines..that is why mogadishu and galkacayo experience daily armed clashes,somalia aint coming back,it is a hell-hole,let every qabiil pacify their area and i am sure hawiye isnt capable of doing that.might be daarood leader to follow atleast 20 years and see if somalia is able to function if not the easiest way out is indepedence for every federal state and i thank HSM for kick-starting that process.

As Muslims, we shall never lose hope. Look to the prophets (A.S) who have endured such greater hardship than we have. Other countries have gone through greater problems than we have, never forget the mercy of Allah.

Somalis need three things....

Reconciliation with all of the clans, we're a clan based society but the disease of qabyalaad should be removed.

Peace in the land, free from internal/external threats.

Self sufficiency among the Somali people to feed itself with their local produce, stop this notion/habit of begging for food when Allah S.W.T has blessed us with natural resources such as two mighty rivers, arable lands, large coastline, etc..

Never lose hope, we can't foresee the future.
