Abdulkadir Hussein, technical director-general in Somalia's Petroleum Ministry, said a new majority-state owned national oil company and regulatory body should be operational next year.

Initially, the state oil firm would get a free 10 percent stake in all hydrocarbon ventures.

"Later, when the company becomes established it will participate with its own money, up to a limit of 30 percent," he told Reuters.

I am not an expert on the topic by any means and granted the Somali government would not have much capital to invest in any drilling and cannot afford to insure against the risk of a dry well but...

Qatar Petroleum and affiliates own 70 percent of the two firms...

They are stupid if they accept those terms. There are other Companies who would do the job for less, Middle Eastern, Malaysian, European, etc they should demand a 50% share or more and in the 10 years they own 80% or so.

Lol Yeah it's not just us u know y'all idoors where demanding them to leave too. But the planes landed in my Sub clan Omar-Wacays territory in the Nugaal, without any notice. We chased them off all the Dhulos were in uproar. That's not how it should be done. People think they are stealing their wealth. There should be consultation between our Grand Leader Ali Khalif & yours, the local people in each region that's been explored should be made aware of and consulted with the blessing of their Sultans. And there should be a Natural resource law to looks out for the interest of the nation, environment and a deal reached with the regions on how to share with the central government.
That wasn't oil they were digging the mountains :russ:
The oil in nugaal belongs to me not dhulos or ali khalif or some fakkit isaaq trash like thayusso if anybody has a problem with it they can answer to us :pac:
Waay inoo tahay.. I'll arrest your ass, For your Anti State & revolutionary anti Dhulos remarks.

Sentenced to 10 years of Hard Labor in Carooley Maximum Prison.

Somalis are all crazy if we don't use our Oil & Gas now it could be worthless soon, if we don't learn to share no company would want to invest and bring the oil & gas out peacefully, they could fund wars like in west Africa and Take the natural Reources they want.

People, Companies & countries are making Billions out of this, and also nvesting in other things to make more money, and Build their nations.

and we are arguing here..
:deadrose:
Iight the only dhulos group who will get a share is y'all and mohamoud ugaadhyahan mainly because we're on a great term and your close to the oil source land wise all the other groups can kick rocks thoe
There is a old Somali rule any man who owns land owns everything on it and in it :pac:
