makes no sense, I heard theories he was running as a ploy to keep the others out from the second round particularly sheikh shariif originally which makes sense.

The only was this makes sense, is that HSM got his way with the 11 candidates and 20MP's rule and CC agreed with it, those 69 votes coming in to play will hurt CC, but also gives one of the dark horses a chance at the same time.
