Secondly, the notion of an Italian protectorate called Italian Somaliland is false. The Italian colony was called Somalia Italiana.

The current Republic of Somaliland is the successor state to the State of Somaliland that gained independence on June 26, 1960. Isaaq don't claim Borama as an Isaaq city nor do we claim Las Caanood as an Isaaq city, these cities are part of the republic of Somaliland (a country) but they're not Isaaq cities.

Isaaq don't have a culture of claiming and stealing things that don't belong to us unlike Darood and Hawiye who have stolen land in the Jubba Valley and Lower Shabeelle at the expense of the indigenous interriverine communities, under the pretext of fake 'Somalinimo' and 'Somalia Somali baa leh'.
