Farmaajo needs to Watch few Hitler or nigel farage speeches in order to improve his speaking skills... he is clearly not a good orator but way ahead of siilaanyo, sheikh Sharif among others

It was weak and defeatist speech by Mr Cheese.

He said he can't fix anything and needs 20 odd years to even have any chance to fix the 26 year old issues.

It was very defeatist message and his aims are rather low.

He talks soft and delivered weak speech.

He himself admitted defeat what can you expect a man that says four years not enough 26+ is what it will take.

If I'm elected I'm going to inspire, fake it and lift spirits by telling the populous I will address your concerns as of this minute and I will fight to reverse the 26 year old damage in 26 months.

Failure speech already. I'm sure alot of people went...

MOGADISHU, Somalia — Somalia’s new President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed has been inaugurated while promising to restore dignity to the troubled Horn of Africa nation.

Mohamed was elected earlier this month in a step toward Somalia’s first fully functioning central government in a quarter-century.

The new leader, who also holds U.S. citizenship, has already vowed to make security a priority in a country where extremist group al-Shabab still carries out deadly attacks in the capital, Mogadishu, and elsewhere.

The Islamic extremist group earlier this week denounced the election and vowed to keep fighting.

Several regional heads of state attended Mohamed’s inauguration Wednesday.

Mohamed, also known as Farmajo, also is promising to tackle graft in a country recently ranked by Transparency International as the most corrupt in the world.

And if he did that you would laugh at him and say he's delusional.

Beenta na ga daa

The general populace are not kids. Esp Somalis in Somalia...they're a cynical lot. They wouldn't believe that he could fix everything in two years.

But if he can add to his predecessors and leave something for the next president to add on to then he would've done a good job. Nations get to where they are by incremental changes.

That why SL didnt find Ictraaf for 26 years , lie lie lie and still people believing that will come .

The one thing somalis afraid is the truth, you have to say the truth to your people so they understand their certain condition and provide any help the president need to build the nation from the scratch .

Somalia is in the bottom of the world , that fact.

We as somalis from zelac to ras kamboni should united to build our nation for the coming generation , no more fight no more war just we want peace and peace .

He didn't need to read anything from a paper, it should of came from his heart, because he already knows what he was gonna say and what the people want to hear. Maybe right down couple of points he needs to touch on.

Nonetheless it was a good one.

It's common knowledge that;

1. When you campaign you can kind of talk about what you would LIKE to do.
2. When you win you can talk about what you CAN do.

Farmaajo knows that expectations are beyond high, but it's better to be underestimated than overestimated. This is the single biggest failed state in the world. He will work as hard as he could, but he needs to be as honest and genuine as possible.

I was watching with two other friends neither of whom are Marehan and we all agreed it was a really sober and honest message---exactly the way Somalis should be talked to.

P.S. I thought he was much more fluid and personable when he was talking off script. Reading a speech doesn't suit Somalis.
