Why are we always behind the arabs?

Why do we take orders from saudi arabia or qatar or uae?

Can't we be like the Ethiopians and take our matters on our hands without taking orders from outsiders.

We have never been weak like this before when Siyaad Barre military government was ruling this lawless region.
