I think Waachis is making it up.Did the somalis kill innocent oromo during the 1977-78 war against ethiopia??
i thought oromos were allied to somalia during the war under the somali abo faction?

Clearly he is, he can't control his temper so he makes things up when he loses in debates.I think Waachis is making it up.Did the somalis kill innocent oromo during the 1977-78 war against ethiopia??

All it says is Somalis are slice and that does not say anything about one being father and the other son. You not even worthy of addressing at this point because you can't comprehend simple English.2. ''Perhaps the old theory of Sir R. Burton is the most correct one: that they (Somalis) are of negro-Hamitic descent, and 'nothing but a slice of the great Galla nation Islam-ized and Semiticised by repeated immigrations from Arabia.' Such a theory is in the main in harmony with the Somali traditions of their Arabian descent, and geographical and historical conditions do not conflict with it; moreover, the physical type of the people agrees with it. The origin of the Galla is another question altogether. Whether they are part of the same race, which pushed into South Africa from the North and are now represented by the Kafir, or whether they are a half-caste Abyssinian race, need not here be discussed.
Look at you propagating lies again. Ethiopian habeshas have been present in north central Ethiopia for over 6k years. This is something you can't deny, it's proven in the archeological records. Oromos moved to most of central, eastern and western lands after the 1300-1500s. It's been documented by numerous people including the Ethiopian empire, adal (harari/afar) sultanate, the hadiya (gurage) and so on. You have litterally killed off most endemic minority ethnicities in Ethiopia. Now you cry whenever you are told that Ethiopia is for Ethiopians not oromoians. You need to stop hanging around Extremist-Amhara-Unionists. They're the same ones who believe the Ogaden is Ethiopian, more Ethiopian than Somali, and says that Somalis there should speak Amharic first! If you take them as your historical source, you're as retarded as they are!Re: Do Oromo people really Come from Madagascar?
Nebro: I am not sure about the Madagascar story, but I know for sure that most the places they claim as theirs today were places taken by force and genocide from other ancient Smaller ethnic groups of Ethiopia. Arusi and bale were no doubt the lands of hadya. Wellega used to be Damot. Shewa oromos took the lands of ancient ppl like weleka, gurage, werjies, Maya and Amhara. Place names like shimbrra kure. are now replaced by oromo names like bishoftu. Bets Amhara and Angot is now given an oromo name called wello. If there is love, this is nothing but human history but with the kind of hate politics in Ethiopia today this is a good recipe to start war among the next generation. All we need is love.

The Oromo conquered lands just everyone else did. We just did it better than most, so our neighbors envy us, with their evil-buda-eyes.

Alphamale1 isn't making sense. Individuals like him think being aggressive is better than being mild. Well, many who went to the West have landed in jail as a result of being aggressive.Dear Alphamale1,
That's more like, your opinion, as opposed to a fact based on actual research among the respective Oromo and Somali nations.
Can you prove that the average somali is more ''quick-witted'' than the average oromo?
and as far as more mild, perhaps so, because farmers tend to be more mild and chill, while nomads are usually hot-headed like the weather they're usually in.
the afar are very warlike, for example, because they live in perhaps the most harsh climate in the world.
You lived among, how many oromos, out of the 40 million in existence? how many did you live among--perhaps 10,000? 50,000? 100,000? give us an actual #, don't be so vague.
I agree that Somalis feel that others are inferior, but can ethiopia be inferior, if it's army is in your land doing as it wishes?
no! so those feelings of superiority are based on just that: feelings, and not actual facts.
"The Ge'ez language is classified as a South Semitic language. It evolved from an earlier proto-Ethio-Semitic ancestor used to write royal inscriptions of the kingdom of Dʿmt in Epigraphic South Arabian. The Ge'ez language is no longer universally thought of, as previously assumed, to be an offshoot of Sabaean or Old South Arabian,[16] and there is some linguistic (though not written) evidence of Semitic languages being spoken in Eritrea and Ethiopia since approximately 2000 BC.[17] However, the Ge'ez script later replaced Epigraphic South Arabian in the Kingdom of Aksum. Epigraphic South Arabian letters were used for a few inscriptions into the 8th century, though not any South Arabian language since Dʿmt. Early inscriptions in Ge'ez and Ge'ez script have been dated[18] to as early as the 5th century BC, and in a sort of proto-Ge'ez written in ESA since the 9th century BC."Look at you propagating lies again. ''In the middle of the millennium before the Christian era, Yemeni tribes (Habashat being one of them) crossed the Red Sea, forming communities in what would become Ethiopia. They brought with them an ancient Saebean writing system that developed into the 276-letter syllabic alphabet used to write Ge'ez and later Amharic, the language of the Ethiopian government today. During this pre-Christian period, tribal kingdoms emerged throughout the region, and historians believe that one such kingdom, ruled by the Habasha people, eventually formed powerful Axum.
These Semitic Habashas from Arabia naturally intermingled with the people who were already there, creating the Amhara-Tigrinya culture of Northern Ethiopia and Eritrea that would become the ruling class in the millennia that followed, dominating the descendants of the Africans WHO LIVED THERE LONG BEFORE THEIR ARRIVAL.''

How about the Oromos?
''Others place the early home of the Oromos near the snow-topped mountains Kenia and Kilimanjaro, so that their first migrations would've been from south to north. More recently a contrary theory has found favor, that the east cape of Africa was the cradle of the Oromo race, and that in Pre-Islamic times they were situated to the south of the Gulf of Aden; their own wandering tendencies and the development of the Somali races (from the oromo) then drove the Oromos west and south from their early homes.''

Soooo who has more right to African lands: Africans, regardless of where they came from; or the descendants of ARAB TRIBES?!
Let's not throw insults. You know the truth, we both know that oromos expanded in that last few centuries and dispelled or consumed the people whose land they took. Amharas and tigrayans have not ruled Ethiopia since Menelik, and even he is debated on whether he is even Amhara. How can people who have consumed another country and who have taken so much land cry about being discriminated against. Yes Amharic is the official language of Ethiopia, get over it. Amharas outnumber oromos, but the current government messed up by telling the people oromos made the plurality (not majority). They filled your heads up with hate and now it's backfiring on them.LOL @ Ethiopia is for ''Ethiopians.'' That's just code for: Ethiopia is only for Amhara and Tigrayans!
Sorry agame boy, that won't work with me! I know your people too well!
Secondly, why would the Oromo relate to a state that is based on oppressing them?
Thirdly, without us Oromos, Ethiopia would collapse in 2.3 seconds! Our land and manpower is the backbone of the country!
So I'd be more humble when dealing with Oromos, because they can survive and THRIVE WITH, or WITHOUT ETHIOPIA.
It's Tigray who has to depend on the food and security that a large country provides, not the Oromos!!!
Waachis,
You have nothing for me to address. You just posted more diary entries that never said anything about one being father and the other son. You either don't understand English or as usual your trolling.
The only worthy statement of addressing is #2 which uses a quote from Sir Burton which never said anything about Somalis being son of Oromo.
All it says is Somalis are slice and that does not say anything about one being father and the other son. You not even worthy of addressing at this point because you can't comprehend simple English.2. ''Perhaps the old theory of Sir R. Burton is the most correct one: that they (Somalis) are of negro-Hamitic descent, and 'nothing but a slice of the great Galla nation Islam-ized and Semiticised by repeated immigrations from Arabia.' If you slice a cake does that mean one half is the father and the other half is the son? Or do they simply mean they originate from the same source/ingredients?
No one doubts Somalis, Oromo, Agew, Afar, Saho, Bilen, belong to Cushitic family but you are desperate to portray Gallas that were named by Somalis as the father.
Until 1940s no one heard of "Oromo".
You still carry and every diary and source you quote beyond that era will name you Galla, a name from Somalis.
In the same statement above, the author even doesn't know your origins and questions the Gallas as "another question altogether" meaning you are unknown let alone being Somalis' father.
You only digging your own hole deeper. I have given you enough chances to address your views like a mature person but you just chasing your own tail.
I will no longer reply. Not even worth it. Even the sources you quoted said 'need not here be discussed'. You trying too hard.
I will let you troll like the other guys above.
