Maybe the US has limitations, not as powerful as you make it. And maybe it isn't easy to eradicate groups like al-Shabaab. After +15 years, the Taliban haven't been eradicated by a powerful coalition. Is the US also supporting them? A conspiracy theory like yours isn't common sense.
