Ethiopia ' s top export destination is Somalia

Postby weydamal » Thu Nov 23, 2017 11:35 am

https://globaledge.msu.edu/countries/et ... tradestats

At 13.4% Somalia is Ethiopia ' s number one export destination. The total value of these exports is $ 671 m.

And what is the bulk of what Somalis import from Ethiopia:

Other Vegetables

It doesn't take rocket science to know what is this product being labelled as "other vegetables". This does not even take into account the import figures of these other vegetables from Kenya, some rough estimates of which are given here:

http://www.businessdailyafrica.com/Corp ... index.html

I shudder to think about the amounts of this "other vegetables" consumed in Djibouti, DDSI and NFD.

This is a national disaster, a catastrophe for the Somali race.

All the brain dead leaders in these Somali territories have neither the will nor the vision to fight this menace to the Somali people.

We all need to wage a social campaign against this insidious drug.

I think this affects all Somalis. One of the world's poorest countries with a massive drug habit. Even Hollywood's finest script writers couldn't have imagined such a nightmarish scenario.

Without even contemplating all the social and health issues, the amounts of resources spent on this drug are mind boggling.

One of the earliest works of Nuruddin Farah described Mogadishu as a city with only one bookshop and hundreds of pharmacies. He concluded that Somalis were a sick, illiterate nation. And this was during the golden age.

Now Somalis are an illiterate nation of junkies.

Read about opium war between China and UK. Iran floods the gulf countries cheap drugs to kill their youth, Israel floods Egypt through Saini desert cheap drugs. Morocco floods Algeria with drugs. Lebanon to Syria. It is old method but very efficient. And don’t forget what USA government did to black communities through the program “war on drugs “ in 70s and allow the alcohol stores and dealers in black neighbourhoods. Also the chemical that is added to khat leads increase the people with mental illness.
