Prof Jimcaale, head of Somali National Univ "Abudwak will be the biggest educational center in central Somalia"

Postby Voltage » Wed Jan 24, 2018 11:14 pm

Prof Jimcaale came to Caabudwaaq with Farmaajo and announced the SNU branch of Galmudug will be Caabudwaaq. Among the things he said;

1. In 2014 SNU main branch in Mogadishu decided Caabudwaaq will be the base of the SNU Central Somalia branch
2. Build dorms
3. Invite students from all over Somalia to the SNU Central Somalia branch in Caabudwaaq
4. Invite Italian professors offered by the Italian and base Galmudug group in Caabudwaaq
5. 200 Masters Scholarships and take Galmudug branch from SNU-Caabudwaaq
6. Build SNU branch and make it larger from current Galgaduud University
7. Base one of the main taqasus (Degree programs) of SNU in Caabudwaaq so any student who wants it will have to apply to SNU-Caabudwaaq

Starting 37:10

This is the best thing to happen to Caabudwaaq, the city that gave Somalia Shire Jama Ahmed (who wrote the Somali script), Ali Mataan Xaashi (first man to fly), Dr Mohamed Adden Sheekh (first Somali surgeon to work at Italian Somalia), Sh Abdulle Mohamud (man in charge of the committee that drafted the 1960 free Somali Constitution) :up:

Wonder why they picked Caabudwaaq? Because they have some of the best educational standards in Somalia.

In 2016, for example, Caabudwaaq students from Shire Jama Ahmed Secondary school took numbers 2,3,4 from national testing administered by the Somali educational ministry

Shire didn’t create the Somali script and Mataan was not the first Somali pilot.

I’ve also noticed that you've changed your position on m Mohamed Adan Sheikh. Indeed, he was not the first Somali surgeon, he was the first Somali surgeon operating in Somalia Italiana. :up:

You can brag but don’t lie about other people’s achievements.
