why do puntland claim land of punt when it wasn't even in their area.

Nobody knows definitely where land of punt was .

The land of punt can be anywhere from Somaliland to Puntland to Mudug, all these locations probably encompassed the land of punt. Frankincense is abundant in this area, and that was one of the most valuable exports.

The land of punt can be anywhere from Somaliland to Puntland to Mudug, all these locations probably encompassed the land of punt. Frankincense is abundant in this area, and that was one of the most valuable exports.
frankincense is abundant in sanaag mountain region. not in puntland. Most historians say it was around west somaliland and to along the red sea in Eritrea.
