KSA and UAE stand in solidarity with Mogadishu!

Postby Sharmarke91 » Fri Mar 23, 2018 8:09 pm

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry on Friday condemned the terrorist bomb attack in Somali capital, Mogadishu that claimed the lives of 17 people.

In a statement on its website, the ministry said government of Saudi Arabia is committed to support Somalia in the fight against the militants.

" The government reiterates its solidarity with and its stance by the side of the friendly Rupublic of Somalia against terrorism " the statement said.

The ministry wished the victims of the berberic attack quick recovery.

" We extend our condolences to the government and people of the Republic of Somalia and wish a quick recovery," Saudi sorrowed.

Meanwhile the government of United Arab Emirates (UAE) lambasted the blast reiterating its principled rejection of violence and terrorism.
" The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affims the UAE's solidarity with Somalia against violence and terrorism, calling the International Community to close ranks and collectively stand up against the resident evil of terrorism which threatens international peace and security," the statement of UAE said.

Al-shabaab militants has claimed yesterday's bomb attack which occured near Wehliye Hotel.

The group which declared its allegiance to Al-Qaida has been carrying deadly attacks against the government and civilians since 2011 when it lost the control of Somali capital, Mogadishu.

Saudi Arabia and your new found "ally" are one of the same they both operate on the diktat imposed from the White House.

This quick response to the terrorist attack demonstrates that the recent diplomatic efforts of the Somali government has produce an understanding between the Somalia and the Arab countries.

Nonetheless, I thought you was under the impression that it was Qatar and Turkey whom are funding the terrorist groups operating in Somalia?

Your quick to change your mind.

Are you feeling a bit insecure that the UAE-Somalia relations might return to normal?

Qatar and Saudi Arabia and the uae have their beef all 3 support suni jihadism.but they also have conflicting economic interest thats why Saudi and uae are punishing qatar
Qatar and Turkey are also allies Turkey supports isis to along as isis kills peshmerga Kurdish fighters. Its all about interest Saudi Arabia will burn Mogadishu in order to gain economic interest intad Somaliland iska ilaalineysid carabta iska ilaali.yanay dabbada saliid ku Marin you don't know ilmaabdulkhaziz ibn saud

Nothing solidarity. It’s just a standard procedure. They will issue the same message to any even Israel.

There is no diplomatic move that produced anything.

DP is moving ahead with the port, UAE has resumed constructing its base, KSA is still waiting for the makds.

People who believe in Somalia have low standards. A normal standard message is enough for them.

If they cared they would send doctors, air ambulances and medicine.

If its a standard procedure why have they not extend condolences in prior recent terrorist attacks on Mogadisho such as the Zoope bombing of 2017 were over 500 people died?

DP World can move ahead with its project. Its their lose, if you think about, when the Somali government assumes power of its waters the so called contract will cease to function.

However, the military base will not go ahead, unless the Somali government accepts it. It simply can not happen. To proceed with this endeavour the UAE would be infringing on the territorial sovereignty of Somalia. And under international law such an act would render the situation a declaration of war!

Not to mention there is a UN imposed arms embargo on Somalia, the only exception being supplies of non-lethal military equipment for use in humanitarian operations. Hence, it is impossible for this venture to come to light unless the UAE will break the UN resolution in addition to declaring on war on Somalia.

Now, considering that the Somaliland entity serves no particular interest for the UAE, I extremely doubt that it they would proceed without first consulting the Somali government and gaining its support. Thus, the UAE and KSA are making efforts to reconcile with Somalia so to receive their approval.

Couple of pointers my trigger happy friend. Before declaring war on the Emirates and there brand spanking new American arms.

Let's deal with reality and look at a few pointers.

1, Somalia has more military men going in and out, thena brothel in Djibouti. If Kenya can annex the south without the locals permission and the government is impotent, why then declare j!had on the Emirates. Priorities

2, In what would or planet would your Somalia be in a position to declare war against the Emirates and assume the end result would be Yemen minus the Houthis. E.g. Somalia going back to the dark ages or beyond it.

3, This UN resolution u keep parroting on about, is aimed at ensuring your everyday warlord from the south does not buy arms from ex soviet states and fund al-shabab. I don't thing the UN/USA would care what hardware the UAE brings to Somalia so long as it stays in their hands.

4, Wake the F up. Your Somalia has bigger problems than the rightfully elected represtitives of the Somaliland people, making decisions for them. Did you vote for anybody down south?

You misunderstood my point completely.

Am not saying Somalia will declare war on the UAE, that would be insane due to the present state of Somalia. let me repeat it for you. The very act of deploying troops in Somali territory would be a declaration of war on the part of the UAE. This is international law 101.

Under international law a state can only deploy its troops into another, if;

- the government of the sovereign country agrees to the presence of troops in their territory (take for example Djibouti).
- Or a UN security council resolution permitting for a peace keeping mission (take for example AMISOM).

The UAE has none of the above reasons currently. Therefore, legally they can not setup a military base in Somalia - to do so would be an act of war.

And unless, the UAE is prepared to shred it's reputation by taking this route and acting contrary to international law, I doubt they will not proceed without the permission of the Somali government.

No entity is an exception of the UN resolution whether its a warlord, Somali government, AMISOM, the UAE or USA.

Somaliland has no rightfully elected representatives, the current "president" was elected fraudulently by vote rigging and the "parliament" has been sitting since 2005. I wouldn't say that is representative of the people.

One little problem though, somaliland doesn't recognize Italian Somalia having sovereignty over its territory nor does UAE.

So am afraid your beloved Italian Somalia is only a paper government.

Somalia has no sovereignty at all. Somalia sfg was given legitimacy by the west. It has no leg to stand in if today yuweri museveni decides to arrest failmaajo he can do so. Because he has boots in the groud if uhurro kenyatta today visits Kenya . And failmaajo refused entry uhurro can still visit because uhurro controls kismayo. Alshabaab is more of a government than sfg. Because alshabaab actually controls a vast land

It's pointless recognition it's lipservice allot of country recogenizes Palestine but fattah doesn't control Judea sammara or what's is called the west bank. It's under Israeli control. If Saudi Arabia today recognizes alshabaab as the sole legitimate government for Somalia who can stop. Recognition afka means shit I recognize Tom iyo harrey iyo Keith to own villa Somalia why are walanweyn so silly.
