Recently, somalis from proper somalia have redefined what it means to be somali. It used to be that we didn't recognize colonial borders, and you were somali as long as you were ethnically somali(born to somali parents), but that has changed now. Especially since jLand has become a state, Ahmed madoobe has come under a lot of fire, with many asking for his head and deportation because they claim he is from the ogaden, even though he was born in gaalkacayo. Which party is right/wrong? MSB is all we know was born in the ogaden, but was the president of somalia for 2 decades. In the current climate, would he become a president given that he was born outside of proper somalia? If you consider him to be an Ethiopian, doesn't that mean we had an Ethiopian as a president? Could one even make the argument that he sabotaged somalia on purpose to secure Ethiopian interests? I mean, after all he did commit pretty atrocious crimes against many somali tribes.
Discuss.
fyi I consider him to be an Ethiopian, not somali.
